Ukrainian Ukrinform news agency quoted Victor Zhilenko, the director of Alushta's Aquarium, where Pavlik lives as saying: "We have placed a TV near the aquarium. Before the match, octopus had opened one of two boxes with food. He managed for 30 seconds, and chose the mussels from a box with the symbol of Barcelona. We were disappointed".

Pavlik was very attentive to the match on late Wednesday, according to the Aquarium's staff. As from that day, oracle became a real football fan. He will guess the Champions League matches. And after that octopus would be a predictor for Euro 2012.

Pavlik divined the result of a friendly match between Ukraine and Italy on March 29. The next test for him is the second leg of Barcelona and Shakhtar fighting in Donetsk.

Pavlik came to Ukraine from Singapore in the early March. He was named after the most famous star in South Africa World Cup 2010 - octopus oracle Paul. The direction of the Alushta's Aquarium hopes that Ukrainian Octopus will be also successful in football predictions.
