China and India should ignore obstacles created by the West and strengthen cooperation, says an article in the 21st Century Business Herald (excerpts below).
Premier Li Keqiang has every reason to choose India for his first visit.
In the new international environment, the government attaches greater significance to Sino-India ties than ever before.
Their rising clout, economies, population, development momentum and geographic closeness make them the two most important developing countries for Asia and the world.
Yet some Western countries try to sow discord between the countries.
As victims of colonialism and invasion, China and India have many similar experiences. The BRICS and other multilateral international organizations provide China and India with good platforms to participate in international governance.
The visit can help to deepen trust. Both countries, in a similar development stage, should make better use of their domestic markets and learn from each other’s strengths to transform their industrial structures.
