Parents and teachers should focus on emotion as much as education, says an article in China Youth Daily (excerpts below).
A survey of 1,500 college students in Guangzhou University showed that over half were dissatisfied with relations with their roommates.
There are many reasons for this, including different interests and backgrounds.
A majority of college students are their parents only child and this may result in a self-centered outlook.
Developing modesty, tolerance and a broad outlook is as important as any education and will be of great benefit to society. It will also help students enjoy their college life more.
