The Red Cross Society of China must be seen to help the quake victims, said an article in Chongqing Morning Post (excerpts below).
Netizens have been unimpressed by the performance of the Red Cross Society of China following the devastating earthquake in Ya'an, Sichuan.
Much of the discontent stems from the flashy lifestyle scandals and extravagant dining of previous years.
At that time, confronted with an increasing public outcry, the society was slow to react and allay public concerns.
It's high time that the society restored public trust. It needs to live up to its potential and help people who are in need.
