Comparing China with other countries can help us abandon prejudices and look at China's change and development more objectively, says an article of People's Daily. Excerpts:
The Government Report of the Chinese government clearly pointed out that China's reform has already overcome its most difficult period and the Chinese government must further liberate its thoughts and push ahead with reforms in many crucial fields, including the economy, politics, culture and society.
As German newspaper Berlin Daily commented, reform and change will remain the main theme for China's future.
The world is familiar with the main theme of China and this year's two sessions provides the international community the opportunity to gain more detailed insight into China's prospects for the future.
It is noteworthy that the world also has an emotional response when watching China's reform and performance. While some industrialized countries are troubled or even paralyzed by economic crisis, the Chinese government has demonstrated strong resolve and confidence in deepening its domestic reform in the right direction.
China will not operate according to Western standards because China has its own way to strive for a better future.
The financial crisis will consolidate China's determination to continue its development in a pragmatic manner.
