China Daily published a remarkable photograph in July 14's China Scene, which was the glorious sight of a young man at Junji Peak on Songshan Mountain in Henan province. It may not be that difficult for most people to climb the mountain. But for Chen Zhou, the boy in the picture, reaching the summit was a significant triumph, as he unfortunately lost his legs in a train accident when he was a boy, which means he "walked" the long ascent to the peak using only his arms.
I admire his great determination to reach his goal. And those who are lucky enough to have a sound body should be inspired by his great courage and can-do spirit. My warmest congratulations to him and I wish him a bright future.
