Do you have a story from the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing? Were you a member of staff or in the audience? Has the approach of the London Olympics sparked any special memories from four years ago? Share with us your stories about the Olympics! China Daily cell phone readers share their views with us.

I still remember the day members of the media from all over the world entered the main press center, where I worked as a volunteer for the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Whenever off duty, volunteers would paint a tiny national flag on their faces and watch the games with foreign reporters on the big screen in the lobby. I felt a sense of deja vu when I saw on a micro blog a photo of the Chinese media at the press center for the 2012 London Olympics.

MYYA LEE, Beijing

I was sent to Beijing by my company because of the Olympic Games in 2008 and because of this I met my husband. Though the Beijing Olympics have ended, we still love each other and will live happily ever after. I hope the Chinese athletes do well at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

HONEY, Beijing

Four years ago, as a student from Hubei University of Police, I had the honor to participate in the security for the Beijing Olympic Games. I can still remember the days when my colleagues and I patrolled along Qianmen Street in our raincoats, conducted safety inspections under the burning sun and watched the competitions on TV when off duty. Though I do not work as a policeman now after my graduation, I will still serve the people to my best ability. I wish the London Olympics a great success.

ZHONGQIN, Shiyan, Hubei province

I am a mildly physically challenged person who attended the Young Advocates Program organized by the British Council and China Disabled Persons' Federation. I not only watched the opening ceremony and several track and field events at the Beijing Paralympic Games, I also made many friends. It seems impossible for me to go to London now for the Games, but I will still pay close attention and bear in mind the spirit of the Beijing Paralympics and let it guide and inspire me in my life and work.

YOUNGLU, Shanghai

I was a senior middle school student four years ago. Though it was impossible for poor families in rural areas like mine to go to Beijing for the Olympic Games four years ago, we had our own way to enjoy the Olympics. We played basketball every afternoon during the summer vacation at a village middle school in the afternoon and watched team events like basketball and football on the TV. Four years have passed, as I plan to spend my summer vacation making some money, I will not have time to watch the events, but still hope the Chinese athletes do well in the team sports.
