Young emperors flash the cash
Comment on "Cost of education can ruin parents" (China Daily, March 19)
I have met many Chinese students in my country. Unfortunately some of them are not really interested in their studies. Some of them just want the overseas degree certificate to improve their employment prospects back in China. They will waste a lot of money on unnecessary purchases and will spend a lot on eating out and they will buy things that they don't really need, for example, they will keep upgrading their mobile phones unnecessarily and lose money on selling the earlier models. I think their parents should teach them the value of hard work and the right attitude toward money and stop bringing them up as young emperors.
