Comment on "Civil servants must learn English"(China Daily, Feb 16)
I agree with the new policy. I think civil servants need to meet high standards to do their work. Foreign language skills are necessary for the civil service, especially in international cities. English is widely used by people from all over the world and serves as a bridge among people with different native languages.
