Let Strauss-Kahn be a lesson
Updated: 2011-07-20 08:14
(China Daily)
The former chief of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, was caught in a sexual scandal and lost his job. He is likely to have lost his political career, too. But some people say that Strauss-Kahn was framed by his political rivals.
Irrespective of whether the charges against Strauss-Kahn are true or not, international organizations and their bosses should now understand the value of ethics.
Strauss-Kahn's experience should be a lesson in ethics not only for him, but also for other top officials around the world. If they don't want to risk their reputation and career, they should follow the law, stick to principles and execute their duties.
