British schools' event in China
China Summit of the Association of Leading Independents Schools was launched in Beijing on Sept 15 and in Shanghai on Sept 17 respectively.
Admissions officers from 12 British independent schools and education experts from the United Kingdom and China attended the event. They introduced and explained the admission process and policies in UK boarding schools, as well as the education system and student lives in UK schools.
Some 100 students who plan to study in UK schools attended the event and practiced one-on-one interviews with the organizers.
This is seventh time the Association of Leading Independents Schools has launched an event in China since September 2015.
To increase the chance for children to get into first-class universities and colleges around the world, more Chinese families plan to send their children abroad for education. UK boarding schools are one of the destinations. While the parents need more information about the schools, the school managements usually want to meet potential students.
