The second Fashion Beijing kicked off at the Beijing Exhibition Center on Wednesday night with a creative and glamorous performance, highlighting the most advanced technology and traditional Chinese elements.
The five-day event aims to provide an international fashion and cultural platform through exhibitions, forums, fashion shows and design competitions.
The exhibition, InStyle, will showcase creative lifestyles featuring clothing, food, furniture and vehicles. For example, a wide range of special food from Yunnan will be displayed for visitors to experience Yunnan's culinary culture.
Fashion shows are highlighted by Vivienne Tam, ISAL LABEL and NE.TIGER. Celebrity models include Liu Tongtong, Ma Qing and Yinjuan.
During the design competition, designers from home and abroad will present creations under the theme, "Silk Road".
Fashion Beijing, initiated by China High-Tech Group Corporation, was first held in 2015, and is organized by Beijing Textile Association, Shanghai Textile Association, Chinese National Museum of Ethology and the Beijing Exhibition Center.
