It contains an R&B song, titled Catch Me When I Fall, which was produced by French musicians, The Picard Brothers (Clement and Maxime Picard), who have worked on the albums of Chris Brown and Diplo.
The mini-album includes the instrumental version of the song.
Born and raised in Beijing, 26-year-old Lu rose to fame as a former member of South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO.
After embarking on a solo career in 2014 he released his debut album, Reloaded, in 2015, which sold more than 5 million copies via QQ Music's digital album platform, the music service of Tencent.
His single, Inner Force, was selected as the official Chinese promotional theme song for the movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, last year.
Meanwhile, Lu has moved into films by acting in 20 Once Again and The Witness.
He also features in the upcoming 2017 American-Chinese movie The Great Wall, which is directed by Zhang Yimou.
