China Post will release its first Disney-themed stamp on June 20 following the first Chinese store the entertainment company opened in May.
The new stamp is valued at 1.2 yuan (about 19 cents). Easily recognizable and highly iconic, it includes a classical Mickey Mouse image alongside traditionally auspicious Chinese cloud shapes.
The stamp also combines painted Chinese waves to mix the cultures of both Disney and Shanghai.
Shanghai Post, which is affiliated with China Post, will organize a ceremony to release its first Disney stamp on June 20.
Shanghai Post, alongside Walt Disney Co, have agreed to jointly develop various Disney related products in future.
Shanghai Disney is expected to open in the spring of 2016.
