What's the latest in the fashion world? Let's hear what Lu Kun and Li Hongyan have to say.
Lu Kun
Can you recommend a Shanghai fashion brand or talent that you think has been generally overlooked?
Suzhou Cobblers, famous for its silk slippers.
What is every woman's must-buy item for the summer?
A dress! Actually, it's the must-buy item for every summer. This year I would recommend a knee-length dress with wide, mid-length sleeves.
What's the fashion elementitem you disdain most?
Pants. Of course, I do not think them ugly because as a man, I have to wear them every day. But I prefer a dress on a woman because that's what distinguishes female from male and makes them feminine.
What makes you most uncomfortable in the job or the industry?
The bitchy, mean attitude of some in the industry. But that's what drives me to become even better, so that they don't get to be mean and bitchy with me.
What's your suggestion for the young interested in a career in fashion?
It's not a trend, it's tough business, so be prepared.
