Diplomat event honors new projects

A high-end social gathering attended by over 150 diplomats was held at Beijing's St. Regis Hotel on March 19, 2014. The event, held to promote two landmark construction projects, was hosted by the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau and the Beijing Housing Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions.Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director General of the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau Qian Hongshan, Deputy Director General of the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau and General Manager of Beijing Housing Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions Jiangqi,Deputy Director General of the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau Lv Huizhao,Deputy Director General of the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau Wang Bingnan,Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission Su Wen were in attendance. More than 150 diplomats were present, including over 30 ambassadors from countries such as Greece, Belgium, Brazil and Cyprus. 2014 is expected to be a big year for both the Service Bureau and the Beijing Housing Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions. Two landmark construction projects, the Laingmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building and the Jianwai Meida Center will be completed and put into use this year. The Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building is the first 5A-level modern office building constructed by the Service Bureau, which marks a new step forward taken by the bureau in building construction for diplomatic missions. At the same time, the Jianwai Media Center, which will integrate the functions of modern office buildings, high-end apartment buildings and news release systems, has experienced the latest in being used for upgrading existing old diplomatic compounds. |
