Christie on stage
Ten strangers with hidden secrets meet on a desolated island, and then die one after another. Agatha Christie's suspense story And Then There Were None takes the stage in a joint production by Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center and Shanghai Mousetrap Drama Studio. The play is among a series of detective-classics-turned-plays to be shown in China over three years.

Return of the Dodos
Californian duo the Dodos is bringing their rhythmic passion to Asia. For their stop in Beijing, lead singer and guitarist Meric Long and percussionist Logan Kroeber will rework indie rock classics, promising to prove themselves sources of surprise. Since their 2005 debut, the Dodos have made their name with upbeat and bouncy works. The band this week posted a preview for a new album, Carrier, which will be released in August.
