Beijing will host the first Texas Hold 'em amateur tournament from Dec 27 to Dec 30 at the Yifangyuan Sports and Entertainment Center in Fengtai district.
Texas Hold 'em, a variation of the card game of poker, was born in Texas's Robstown in the United States in the early 1900s.
The tournament, which was approved by the Beijing Sports Bureau and is supported by the Sports Competition Administration Center, is organized by Beijing Aobote Sports and Interactive Media.
