British creative industry expert John Howkins has accepted an invitation to become head of the experts' committee of the Creative City Design Center, a new organization devoted to providing solutions to Chinese cities' cultural planning.
Jointly founded by the China International Cultural and Artistic Center and the China Academy of Building Research, the Creative City Design Center aims to add more cultural elements to industrial upgrades, public infrastructure management and branding of Chinese cities.
Members of the experts' committee come from around the world, including those from such organizations as Switzerland's Mario Botta Architetto, Japan's Arata Isozaki & Associates and Australia's LAB Architecture Studio.
