Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards (BTCA) was held recently at Beijing's National Aquatics Center.
BTCA was launched in Hollywood in 2006. This is the first time that BTCA has been held outside the US. The watchmaker Hamilton and fashion magazine Elle Men China brought it to China. The awards ceremony paid tribute to the brilliant behind-the-scenes talents whose work has contributed to the quality of a movie or TV series.
Tao Jing from The Flowers of War won the award of best audio effect, and Wang Meng from The Piano in a Factory won the award of best director and playwright. China's top filmmakers and celebrities attended the ceremony, including Jia Zhangke, Timmy Yip, and Ni Ni.
