Four films get digital facelift

IMAX Corporation and Huayi Brothers, one of China's largest film studios, announced on Sept 12 that they would expand their partnership with the digital re-mastering of four Huayi films.
Tai Chi 0 will premiere on Sept 27, Tai Chi 1 on Oct 25, Back to 1942 in late November and Chinese Zodiac on Dec 20. They will be released in IMAX theaters across China.
The companies first worked together with Feng Xiaogang's 2010 box office hit Aftershock, which grossed $102 million.
Huayi and IMAX will work together on at least three films in 2013, according to Che Jiande, CEO of IMAX China.
