Ever wondered what it would be like to walk on street paved with gold?
Perhaps, most would prefer to hold it in their hands, but one store in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province has paved a 7-meter avenue with 200 pure nuggets valued at nearly 70 million yuan ($11m) during a jewelry festival.
China is the world's biggest producer and consumer of gold. Its output rose 5.89 percent from the previous year year to 360.96 tons in 2011.
China Gold Association recently called for promotion of the importance of gold reserves and the need to increase them.
