Death toll of cholera rises to 12 in far-western Nepal

Cholera has claimed two more lives in Doti district in far-western Nepal, bringing the death toll to 12 since the outbreak of the disease about a month-and-a- half ago.

Cholera is sweeping across some villages in the district, putting more lives at risk. Majority of those succumbing to the disease were children and elderly.
Locals accused the government of failing to understand the gravity of the situation, the daily reported.
