The Long March Space is presenting two solo exhibitions, Protagonist and Liminal Space, simultaneously until Aug 12.
Protagonist is the debut of young artist Hu Xiangqian, whose three-part performance art is presented through video, demonstrating the artist's experiment in terms of "understanding the way of thinking by means of art". In a presentation form that seems absurd, Hu's art practice is principally inspired by social events and his surroundings.
Liminal Space features four sculptural installations and a video of emerging artist Wang Sishun. The exhibition is also Wang's first solo show.
11 am-7 pm, daily except Monday, until Aug 12. Long March Space, 798 Art Zone, 4 Jiuxianqiao Lu, Chaoyang district, Beijing. 010-5978-9768.
