Lu Chen, Taiwan's most renowned magician, will perform in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on July 21.
He will surprise his fans with illusions in the first half of the 100-minute magic show including conjuring up a helicopter on stage in five seconds.
In the second half, Lu will perform tricks inspired by his childhood memories. He will perform the first magic trick he learnt as a child and tell the audience the story behind it.
Fond of interacting with the audience, Lu is going to randomly select a person from the crowd by throwing a frisbee, and hypnotize a dog.
The "David Copperfield of Asia" was named Magician of the Year 2011 by The Academy of Magical Arts, Inc., in April. He is the first Chinese to win this award, also known as the Oscar of magical arts.
The Taiwanese magician made his first public appearance on the mainland in 2009, performing three shows including "teleporting" a ring into a real egg at the annual CCTV Spring Festival gala.
