The UK-headquartered visual effects software developer The Foundry is investing heavily in China following a period of strong growth in the region.
The Foundry's software has been used to create effects on such features as the 2012 Oscar winners Hugo (Best Visual Effects) and Rango (Best Animated Feature Film), and Avatar, Harry Potter and the Transformers series.
Wang Jianxiong, deputy manager of China Film Group Post Production Company, says many of their movies, such as Founding of a Republic and Beginning of the Great Revival, used The Foundry's software.
