Migrant Workers' home, an NGO that helps migrant workers improve their social, cultural and living conditions, started a 10-day program about donating unused items in late April in cooperation with Casa Brasil restaurant in Beijing's Chaoyang district.
Women migrant workers' handmade items were sold during the activity, and people went to the restaurant to donate their unwanted clothes, shoes and bags. The restaurant has its regular charity day on the last Saturday of every month and donates that day's turnover to people in need.
