A symposium on media innovation in the era of mobile communication was held on March 18 in Beijing.
Hot topics included the dissemination of Chinese culture with the latest mobile technologies, the importance of public diplomacy for Chinese firms and cultural organizations that are going global, the challenges to individuals’ privacy and consumers’ rights in the age of mobile communication.
Organized by China News Agency, Renmin University of China and mobile communications giants including Netqin.com and China Telecom, the event drew more than 200 journalism and mass media scholars, website operators, and officials in charge of cultural and creative sectors, business and finance, and the IT industries.
