A heart-warming comedy and a disaster drama from the same director will hit China's big screens on March 4, Mtime.com reports.
Journalist-turned filmmaker Yan Ran will make his directorial debut with "Sweet Journey" ("Yun Xia De Ri Zi"), and "Together" ("Xing Cun Ri").
In "Sweet Journey", the director gathers such stars as Zhang Hanyu and Yu Na for a story set in 1980. Through the eyes of two kids, the film recalls drastically-changing Chinese lives as the country begins to benefit from the reform and opening-up policy.
The suspense-cum-tragedy film "Together" is about the physical and mental challenges faced by three trapped miners. Ni Dahong, Daniel Chan and Li Yu lead the film.
