Kashmiri chefs prepare traditional feast Wazwan for wedding

Wazwan unique to Kashmiri culture encompasses a dozen varieties of mutton prepared by chefs in different delicacies. Usually 500 to 1000 kilogrammes of mutton are cooked for the grand feast to be served with rice on the occasion of Muslim marriage ceremonies in the region. A copper plate laden with different varieties of cooked mutton is ready to be served during a feast (locally called Wazwan) to be served at a marriage ceremony at Pahalgam, some 100 kilometers south of Srinagar, summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir, on Nov 3, 2013.
