A case of suspected food poisoning in north China's Hebei Province has led to 96 middle school students being hospitalized, a local government said Friday.
The municipal government of Qian'an said 15 students in the city's Yangdianzi Middle School suffered from nausea and diarrhea on Thursday night, and more pupils developed similar symptoms on Friday morning.
All affected students have been sent to a local health center and two hospitals and are all in stable condition, local health authorities said.
The government has yet to identify the cause of the incident. The school's canteen has been closed for investigations, they said.
