New toque at East
East hotel has appointed the UK's David Parkin to the role of executive chef at Feast (Food by East). Parkin has launched a new a la carte menu that follows the restaurant's founding philosophy of "simple things, done well" by creating an authentic yet eclectic international mix of dishes. The menu features ingredients sourced from local suppliers and local products as well as homemade condiments. Starters feature Bloody Mary crayfish cocktail with compressed melon, and prawn toast; hamhock pot with pease pudding as well as confit tomato and quail-egg salad and more. The pasta selection includes a luxurious sounding Boston lobster mac 'n' cheese.
Feast, East Hong Kong, 29 Taikoo Shing Road, Island East, Hong Kong. 852-3968-3777
