Out for a duck
You don't need to spend a lot for a Peking roast duck feast. Quanjude Peking Roast Duck's Shuangjing branch is launching a Peking roast duck buffet that features not only roast duck but also a variety of other duck dishes. Diners can enjoy duck liver salad, duck wings flavored by marinated soy bean or smoked duck leg accompanied by spicy potato chips. The restaurant even makes a duck heart kebab.
The restaurant's centerpiece is roast duck, wrapped in steamed cakes or stuffed in crisp sesame cakes. Duck soup is also offered. Besides duck dishes, there are 10 hot dishes, 12 cold dishes, and 11 pastries and fruits. The meal costs 88 yuan ($14) per head for lunch, 98 yuan for dinner and 58 yuan for children.

Food with a view
Rooftop dining is becoming increasingly popular, especially if the view is good. Nuage, or Qing Yun Lou, combines French style Vietnamese cuisine with traditional Shandong food. The restaurant has opened up its rooftop patio which has a great view of the Qianhai Lake area, with Beijing's famous drum and bell towers to the north, and rambling hutong surrounding the area. The patio terrace is the highest in the area and a good spot for a romantic get-together.
