Xie Lao Song, which uses crabs in both its name and signature dishes, is organizing a Crab Gourmet Festival until Nov 8. There will be king crabs, Dungeness crabs, snow crabs from Russia and mud crabs from Myanmar. The restaurant's signature specialty is xianglaxie, or fragrant, spicy crab, in which crab is fried with ginger and shallot, and mixed with a special sauce that is a house recipe with more than 20 herbs in it. You can choose your own level of heat, ranging from slightly spicy, medium spicy to very spicy. Apart from crabs, the restaurant also offers other seafood served in spicy, fragrant pots.
