Biden invites Putin to US

MOSCOW - US Vice President Joe Biden has invited Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to visit the United States in a telephone conversation Thursday, said Putin's spokesman.

Biden told Putin that "he and US President Barack Obama would be pleased to see the Russian Prime Minister," Dmitry Peskov told local media.

Their conversation focused on various issues regarding the US - Russian cooperation in trade, economy, including Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Peskov said.

The US vice president paid a three-day visit to Moscow last month.
