Russian military jet crashes near Vladivostok

MOSCOW - A Russian SU-27 military plane has crashed near the Russian city of Vladivostok, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

Citing a spokesperson from the ministry, local reports said the pilot of the SU-27 Flanker combat aircraft was ejected before the crash without any hurt.

The spokesperson also said the SU-27 aircraft crashed at 10: 22 am Moscow time (0622 GMT) during a training drill in Russian's Far East region. According to preliminary information, the accident was caused by a technical failure.

After the crash, a search and rescue team has found the pilot.
