Influenced by his father Wang Shikuo, one of the founders of modern Chinese fine art, Chinese artist Wang Qizhi developed his love for painting at an early age. Over a career spanning almost 60 years he has developed a unique style integrating Chinese brushstrokes and artistic concepts with Western oil painting techniques, which can be seen clearly in his paintings of changing Chinese landscapes over several decades, including famous landmarks and architecture.
Wang has held several exhibitions in China, including a show at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. At his first international exhibition, Wang hopes to share his inspirations and work with a new audience and bring the beauty of China to the world.
Besides his landscapes the show will also include a portrait of Chairman Mao Zedong.
