Queen LiLi's Garden is a group video and photography exhibition by artists Bird Head, Chen Xiaoyun, Geng Jianyi, Liang Yue, Sun Xun and Yang Fudong. With their idiosyncratic styles they have formed an exhibition that is harmonious and quiet, yet captivating. The entire space invokes the familiar details and scenarios of modernity. The human condition seems to mirror "Queen Lili's Garden," as the subjects in the artists' creations are deeply attached to everyday life. A mix of feelings about the mourned past and uncertain future are echoed throughout this exhibition, which is set in the winter.

Yuan Yuan: Imagined Memory - A Home From Home, Shanghai

A Home From Home is Yuan Yuan's first solo exhibition at ShanghART Gallery. The oil painter has been exhibited at many art spaces and institutions in China, and has established a style of realist paintings of often austere, sombre architectural interiors with sophisticated brushstrokes, reinterpreting classical techniques with modern sensibilities. His work gives off a certain intrigue created by the blurred dichotomy between the real and the psychological, the tactile and the immaterial, the personal and the collectively shared.

The Scramble for China: Foreign Devils in the Qing Empire 1832-1914, London

Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, Berlin

The orchestra was founded in 1958 by the Zhejiang provincial government, at that time involving only 30 people. Over the years, several generations of musicians have shaped an orchestra that now consists of 105 performers. While performing the classic symphony works of the world, the orchestra also plays traditional folk music from the province of Zhejiang. It creates and performs a number of symphony works with rich regional characteristics including The Primitive Hunting Picture, A Dream of Boudoir and Flying Partridge, which have been highly appreciated by audiences.
