Kim Kardashian is "extra thankful" for her baby daughter this Thanksgiving.

The reality TV star is spending her first thanksgiving with North, who was born in June, and has praised her fiance Kanye West and remembered her late father, Robert in a message to fans posted yesterday.

She wrote on her website: "Thanksgiving was the holiday that I always spent with my dad skiing every year in Vail, Colorado since I was two years old to 22 (sic). This time of year always brings back such amazing memories. I am thankful I had them.

"I am so thankful for my family being close and always so supportive. I am extra thankful this year for my baby girl and am so happy I get to spend this Thanksgiving as a family with my daughter and fiance."

Robert, who was once a lawyer for OJ Simpson, died in 2003 after battling cancer.

Kim, 33, is spending thanksgiving with rapper Kanye and North in Miami, where he is currently on tour.

Meanwhile, Kim's sister, Khloe had an early thanksgiving with their brother, Rob, in Los Angeles.

She tweeted on Wednesday : "Early family dinners that last until the early morning are epic!!!! @robkardashian you are every single reason that I smile! #KMafia."

Khloe recently split from her husband, basketball player Lamar, amid allegations he had been using drugs and cheating on her, but he flew into Los Angeles yesterday and it is rumoured they could be spending Thanksgiving together.

Kim's other sister, Kourtney, and half sisters Kylie and Kendall are expected to be with their mother, Kris Jenner, at the family home in Calabasas, California.
