Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have gotten married.
The 'Girlfriend' hitmaker and Nickelback frontman officially tied the knot in the South of France on Monday (01.07.13), despite previous speculation that they had wed over the weekend.
The couple exchanged vows in front of 50 or so guests at Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu yesterday evening and the pair reportedly enjoyed a wild reception that lasted until the early hours of Tuesday morning (02.07.13).
A source told UsMagazine.com: "It was a wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness."
The joyous occasion was marked by a late night fireworks display at around 11:30pm, which was described as "magical", according to one attendee.
The guest said: "Avril and Chad had glasses of wine in their hands and were kissing as fireworks popped overhead and sparkled down. It was a magical moment and everyone was overwhelmed!"
Prior to their nuptials, Avril, 28, and Chad, 38, got the party started early on Saturday (29.06.13) by inviting their friends and family to Mandelieu for three days of festivities, including a pre-wedding party that was mistaken for their official ceremony.
The union marks Chad's first marriage, but the second for Avril, whose previous marriage to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley ended in divorce in 2009.
