Historical epic 'Back to 1942' captures Tiantan Award for best picture

On the evening of April 23, the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival concluded in Beijing. Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's historical epic Back to 1942 won the Tiantan Award for best picture and visual effects. And Chinese actress Yan Bingyan won the best actress trophy for her performance in Feng Shui.
Below is the complete list of the 1st Tiantan award winners announced Tuesday in Beijing:
Best Picture:"Back to 1942"
Best Director:Director Kate Shortland for "Lore"
Best Actor:Terence Stamp for "Song for Marion"
Best Actress:Yan Bingyan for "Feng Shui"
Best Supporting Actor:Vahagn Simonyan for "If Only Everyone"
Best Supporting Actress:Helena Bonham Carter for "Great Expectations"
Best Screenplay:"Song for Marion"
Best Cinematography:Adam Arkapaw for "Lore"
Best Music:"If Only Everyone"
Best Visual Effects:"Back to 1942"
Special Jury Award: "Inch' Allah"
