Lindsay Lohan's ex-lawyer won't return

Lindsay Lohan's ex-lawyer has refused to represent her again.

The 'Liz & Dick' actress admitted to making a mistake in firing long time legal representative Shawn Holley - after learning her new attorney doesn't have licence to practice law in California - but her former lawyer has declined her pleas to return, TMZ.com reports.

Lindsay, 26, hired New York-based attorney Mark Heller, who informed Shawn of her firing in a termination letter last week, just as she was on her way to the courthouse to negotiate a plea in the actress' ongoing legal dispute in which she's accused of lying to police.

Shawn is reportedly in the midst of filing paperwork to withdraw from the case and has rebuffed Lindsay's advances to return as her legal counsel.

The troubled star was charged with lying to police officials when she was involved in a car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway near Los Angeles in June 2012. She was arrested after telling officers she was in the passenger's seat, when it's thought she drove the car.

Despite being terminated, Shawn represented Lindsay in court last week, entering a not guilty plea on her behalf. She told the judge she still technically represented the actress as she hadn't formally been removed from the case by the judge, which stopped the judge from issuing a bench warrant for Lindsay's arrest.
