With the New Year around the corner, TV stations across the country will launch annual star-studded galas.

Half of the lineups for the upcoming New Year's Eve show of Hubei Satellite TV Station will be international stars. Among them is Swedish pianist-singer Robert Wells (pictured), best known for his highly successful musical extravaganza Rhapsody in Rock. Wells performed on the Great Wall in 1999 and has since performed frequently in China.

South Korean girl group Wonder Girls, whose hit song Nobody has swept Asia, and Russian singer-songwriter Vitas, who is known for his high falsetto voice, will also perform their popular songs.

Local singers, such as Shang Wenjie, Jike Junyi and Taiwan singer-songwriter Harlem Yu, will share the stage. The gala will also have international artists performing Chinese songs and local stars performing foreign popular songs.
