CCTV celebrates New Year's with live music shows

China Central Television will provide a feast of music on Jan 1 with a live twin-concert show.

CCTV's Music Channel will broadcast the Vienna New Year's Concert, a world-renowned event held annually at Vienna's Golden Concert Hall, and integrate it with a simultaneous China concert at Beijing's Reignwood Theatre. The CCTV website will broadcast the show live as well.
The X Factor in Los Angeles
From 4 to 10 pm, the music channel will use satellite signals to connect the two concert halls and offer a six-hour live music show.
CCTV has broadcast the annual music event in Vienna since 1987. This year, renowned conductor Franz Welser-Most and the Vienna Philharmonic will perform 19 classical-music compositions by famous musicians, including Wilhelm Richard Wagner.
Li Yundi and other Chinese musicians will perform at the Beijing theater, which is open to guests and music fans.
