Uta, a Chinese singer who won singing competition Rock The Web, said the music video of her new single 'Original Painting' has something in common with the hit song 'Gangnam Style' at a news conference in Shanghai on Oct 28.
The music video, shot by Christopher Doyle, is very different from previous works of the famous cinematographer, said Uta, adding that his attitude to art and understanding of life influence her greatly.
The Matrix, which produced Avril Lavgine's 'I'm with you' and 'Complicated', is doing the post-production for Uta's song in the US.
After Uta comes back from Hollywood, where she had lessons with the man who coached Michael Jackson and Madonna, Seth Riggs, she meets Janis Siegel and Alan Paul, members of Grammy winning band The Manhattan Transfer and judges of Rock The Web. Janis Siegel is confident in Uta, saying she still remembers Uta's performance during the competition. She also expressed approval of Uta's new single 'Original Painting'.
