The 2012 CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala will be held in Fuzhou, the capital city of East China’s Fujian province.
Under the theme "Moon and Blessings", the three-act show will have a stage design with a gigantic moon-shaped LED as the background.
Unique cultural symbols of the city, including Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, the well preserved architectural complex of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the banyan tree, Fuzhou's iconic plant, will be finely blended with performances.
Entertainers from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, including Song Zuying, Jonathan Lee and Jolin Tsai, will perform during the gala.
The show will be broadcast on CCTV-1 and CCTV-4 at 8 pm on Sept 30.
