Bobby Brown's wife's seizure was reportedly caused by diabetes.
Alicia Etheredge was hospitalised on Saturday (01.09.12) after collapsing in a Florida hotel room she was staying at with her husband.
A source told People.com her illness was caused by diabetes, adding Alicia was diagnosed with the condition while pregnant with her and Bobby's son Cassius, now three, in 2009.
The New Edition singer accompanied his wife as she left hospital yesterday (02.09.12) and both looked in good spirits.
When asked by TMZ.com how she felt, Alicia said: "Thank you. I feel great."
The website then asked Bobby how he was getting along after undergoing rehab for problems with alcohol last month.
He replied he had been sober for "22 days now," and said reports he had quit before the end of his programme were inaccurate.
He said: "It wasn't early, I was only [meant to be] there for two weeks."
Following Alicia's hospitalisation on Saturday, Bobby asked fans to think of his family, tweeting: "The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and is in good spirits and doing well.
"Please keep my family in your prayers."
The 'Two Can Play That Game' hitmaker was able to take to the stage that night with New Edition at the Gaylord Palms Resort.
