The 'Taichi' Trilogy Set to Release 2 Films

The first two installments of an upcoming and highly-anticipated "Taichi" trilogy will be released only a month apart, according to producer Wang Zhonglei at a press conference on Monday, July 16 in Beijing, Chinesefilms.cn reports.
Executive producer Chen Kuo-fu, director Stephen Fung and lead actors Tony Leung Ka-fai, Feng Shaofeng, Angelababy and Eddie Peng were also present at the event, the first promotional activity for the Huayi Bros. trilogy.
According to Wang, the first movie will be released on September 28, followed by the second installment on October 26. Both will be screened in 2-D and 3-D formats.
Set in the late Qing Dynasty, the movie concentrates on how an ordinary man becomes a Taichi master, fighting off foreign invaders and monstrous machines.
Popular stars Shu Qi and Daniel Wu also star in the film.
