Director Stanley Kwan has invited actress Zhao Wei to star in his latest project "Fang Lang Ji", Mtime.com reports.
At present, Zhao is busy with the post-production work of her directorial debut "To Our Youth That Is Fading Away", which Kwan is also producing.
Kwan postponed the start date for shooting "Fang Lang Ji" to wait until Zhao had finished her work at hand.
It has been reported that Joan Chen, Japanese star Eita, and South Korean actor Ju Jin-mo are also on the cast list.
The plot of "Fang Lang Ji" revolves around two stage actresses who rival each other for popularity, and their lives turn more dramatic than their dramas.
The film is slated for a 2013 release.
