The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest, themed with "the Power of Sports", kicks off in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province on June 28.
The Beijing International Golf Development Foundation, and ‘Chinese Dream: the First International Micro Film Festival’ planned by the International Micro Film Committee, put their heads together to curate this year’s contest.
The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest is a side project of the festival this year. The festival aims to promote the independent and creative spirit of micro films and to inspire young people to pursue a positive attitude toward life. The micro film works will focus on different themes, such as sports and low-carbon life.
"The First International Micro Film Festival aims to build the most authoritative and popular micro film festival in the world. I hope Chinese micro film industry will grow strong quickly, with the help of collaborations like the one that has created The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest," said Yu Minghe, executive chairman of the festival.
The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest is an annual event that was launched by Beijing International Golf Development Foundation in 2010.
"The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest will not limit itself to sports field and we hope to promote golf culture through new media platform such as micro film. That's why we cooperated with the film festival and developed the themed activity, The Power of Sports this year," Mao Weiyang, president of China Golf Beauty Committee said.
The China Golf Beauty Celebrity Invitation Contest will be held in Nanjing, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hainan Province and it will close in December.
